The Linshan Cape Boardwalk traces the rugged northernmost edge of Taiwan, where a volcanic peninsula juts into the East China Sea. This six-hundred-meter path winds through a landscape shaped eight hundred thousand years ago by the eruption of the Zhuzi Volcano. Along the trail, the ground is covered in andesite rocks that have been weathered over centuries by the constant spray of saltwater and the powerful northeast monsoon. These unique formations, often called wind-faceted stones, create a natural, jagged mosaic that stretches toward the water.
