Jozani Forest

Jozani Forest is distinguished by a thick, lush canopy of towering palm and mahogany trees that creates a cool, shadowed environment in the heart of Zanzibar. As the only national park on the island, this fifty-square-kilometer reserve provides a sanctuary for the Zanzibar red colobus monkey, a rare primate with a rust-red coat that exists nowhere else on Earth.
