Bateen Liwa is a desert settlement within the Liwa Oasis, located in the Al Dhafra region of Abu Dhabi. The area is defined by the dramatic topography of the Rub' al Khali, or Empty Quarter, where massive, shifting sand dunes dominate the horizon. While the wider oasis has historically been known for date farming and its status as a southernmost point of the United Arab Emirates, this specific section has increasingly become a destination for desert-focused hospitality.
