Weston Lock is marked by a deep chamber that lowers and raises boats over nine feet as they travel along the River Avon. It is a vital part of the Bristol Avon Navigation, a waterway system constructed between seventeen twenty-four and seventeen twenty-seven to link the city of Bath with the Bristol Channel.
