Crown Pawn Shop sits within an unassuming, nondescript strip mall at the intersection of Roscoe Boulevard and DeSoto Avenue. While it operates as a standard business today, the building gained notice as a filming location for Quentin Tarantino’s nineteen ninety-four film, Pulp Fiction. The shop occupies the space that served as the setting for one of the movie's most intense and widely discussed sequences. Because the building remains relatively plain in appearance, many residents of the San Fernando Valley pass by without recognizing it as the site of those cinematic events.
