San Dieguito Academy High School sits on Santa Fe Drive in Encinitas, marked by a campus that has served local students since nineteen thirty-six. Originally founded to provide a local high school for the coastal communities of North San Diego County, the school was designed by architect Lillian J. Rice. Before its doors opened, students in the area were required to travel as far as Oceanside or Escondido to attend their classes.
