Walt Disney Imagineering occupies a sprawling campus in Glendale, built across the grounds of the former Grand Central Air Terminal. The site is marked by the original, restored nineteen twenty-nine terminal building, a structure of Spanish Colonial Revival and Art Deco design that once served as the primary airport for Los Angeles. While pilots like Charles Lindbergh and Amelia Earhart famously passed through these gates during the golden age of flight, the land shifted in the early nineteen sixties to house the design arm of the Walt Disney Company.
