Urban Light is a forest of two hundred and two cast-iron street lamps that stand at the Wilshire Boulevard entrance of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. You can identify the piece by its uniform gray paint and its dense, rhythmic grid of vintage lamps, which range from round to acorn and cone-shaped globes. Installed in two thousand eight, the sculpture brings together antique lights dating back to the nineteen twenties and nineteen thirties, most of which once illuminated the streets of Southern California.
