Sapp Coffee Shop sits on Hollywood Boulevard, a plain, unpretentious spot that keeps its original name from the nineteen seventies. Back then, it operated in a tiny Hollywood motel, serving American-style breakfasts during the day and Thai dishes at night. That odd arrangement eventually faded, but the name stuck, and the restaurant moved into this current space in what became Thai Town.
