The Asian Garden Mall is distinguished by three statues of deities positioned at its entrance, representing fortune, prosperity, and longevity. Known locally by its Vietnamese name, Phước Lộc Thọ, this two-story building opened in nineteen eighty-seven as the first Vietnamese American shopping center in the community. Developer Frank Jao, who arrived in the United States as a refugee in nineteen seventy-five, founded the project to provide a commercial hub for the growing population of Vietnamese immigrants settling in Westminster and Garden Grove.
