The Sherry Frontenac Oceanfront Hotel is defined by its twin nine-story towers, which rise along Collins Avenue with a design intended to evoke two graceful ocean liners drifting side by side at the edge of the Atlantic. Completed in nineteen forty-seven, the building was the work of architect Henry Hohauser. He conceived the property as a glamorous post-war hostelry, incorporating distinct Art Deco flourishes such as decorative smokestacks and a central bridge that mimics a ship's gangplank.
