South-View Cemetery spans more than one hundred acres of rolling hills and plateaus in Lakewood Heights, distinguished by an expansive collection of Victorian-era funerary art, including stone obelisks, angels, and family plots bordered by low walls. Established on April twenty-first, eighteen eighty-six, this burial ground holds the remains of more than eighty thousand people, ranging from prominent civil rights leaders like John Lewis to generations of local families.
