The Swan House is a nineteen twenty-eight mansion defined by its two-story, English Palladian-inspired portico and a rear terrace featuring a double staircase that flanks a cascading fountain. Designed by architect Philip Trammell Shutze for Edward and Emily Inman, the home displays a blend of Italian Renaissance and classical styles. The Inmans were heirs to a cotton brokerage fortune that helped rebuild Atlanta after the Civil War.
