The New Orleans Museum of Art sits at the end of a long, tree-lined avenue within City Park. This Beaux Arts building is recognizable by its grand, neoclassical facade and the kinetic sculpture that marks the entrance. It was established in nineteen eleven as the Isaac Delgado Museum of Art, named for a wealthy local sugar broker who provided the original funding.
