Unity Cemetery

Unity Cemetery covers over two hundred acres in Unity Township, characterized by its wide, shaded grounds and sweeping views of the Laurel Mountains. Established by a land grant signed on March first, seventeen seventy-four, by John Penn, the grandson of William Penn, the site originally served as a meeting place and burial ground for a local Presbyterian congregation. Four early settlers acquired the initial sixty acres for six pounds sterling.
