The Gerald D. Hines Waterwall Park is defined by a sixty-four-foot-tall, semi-circular fountain that releases eleven thousand gallons of water every minute. Designed by architects Philip Johnson and John Burgee, the fountain is built from St. Joe brick with a base of black granite. It opened in nineteen eighty-five as a private amenity for the adjacent office tower, then known as the Transco Tower, now called the Williams Tower.
