Lagoon Amusement Park in Farmington is defined by the nine-acre pond at its center, which provided the inspiration for its name. The park occupies ninety-five acres and has operated since eighteen ninety-six, when it moved inland after the water levels of the Great Salt Lake caused the closure of a previous resort on the shoreline.
