Behind the houses near thirteen eighty-eight Glenrose Drive sits a modest, open patch of earth that once served as the primary set for the nineteen ninety-three film, The Sandlot. While the movie is set in the San Fernando Valley of California, director David Mickey Evans chose this specific Glendale neighborhood lot to stand in for the boys' summer hangout. Following the end of filming in nineteen ninety-two, the land was cleared and returned to its original condition, remaining a vacant field for two decades.
