Güirá Oga

landmark

Güirá Oga sits tucked within nineteen hectares of dense, century-old forest just outside the main streets of Puerto Iguazú. The name means "House of the Birds" in the Guaraní language, a title that reflects its origins as a sanctuary for raptors and other native avian species. Today, a large sign along National Route Number Twelve marks the entrance to this wildlife refuge, which is officially designated as the Andrés Giai Protected Landscape.
