La Aripuca rises seventeen meters into the air, a towering pyramid of massive, stacked tree trunks that stands out against the surrounding subtropical forest. This structure is a giant, scaled-up replica of a traditional trap used by the Guaraní people to catch animals without harming them. The project was started by Otto Waidelich and his family to demonstrate the scale and diversity of the Misiones rainforest while encouraging environmental awareness.
