Imbergstiege

The Imbergstiege is a long, stone staircase that rises from the Steingasse in the heart of the Old Town. It consists of two hundred sixty-one steps that connect the city streets directly to the Kapuzinerkloster monastery on the heights above. While its origins reach back to the fourteenth century, the current structure dates to a complete rebuilding in eighteen eighty-eight.
