Cafe Beveren

Cafe Beveren is distinguished by a prominent, colorful dance organ from nineteen thirty-seven that occupies its interior. This mechanical marvel, built by the Antwerp firm Gebroeders Decap, functions as a self-playing mini orchestra complete with a drum set, accordion, and saxophone. While these devices once filled dozens of waterfront dance halls throughout the city, Cafe Beveren remains one of the last places in Antwerp where you can still hear one in operation.
