The Museu Histórico da Imigração Japonesa no Brasil occupies the seventh, eighth, and ninth floors of the Bunkyo building on Rua São Joaquim. It is recognized as the world's largest museum dedicated to this migration, housing over ninety-seven thousand artifacts that trace the arrival and establishment of Japanese immigrants in the country. The collection includes thousands of documents, photographs, kimonos, and domestic utensils, as well as scale models of ships like the Kasato Maru, which carried the first Japanese arrivals to Brazil in nineteen oh eight.
