The Billings Estate National Historic Site is a two-and-a-half-storey wooden house that stands on a quiet rise overlooking the Rideau River. Built between eighteen twenty-seven and eighteen twenty-nine, this residence is the oldest wood-framed house in Ottawa. It reflects the Georgian architectural style of New England, a reflection of the background of its builder, Braddish Billings.
