The Palača Škrlec-Balbi stands on Demetrova Street as a U-shaped barok building, distinguished by two narrow side wings and stone portals built into the wall facing the street. Constructed gradually throughout the eighteenth century, this residence incorporates a staircase annex and a courtyard that hides the only eighteenth-century stone well still preserved in its original form in Zagreb.
