The Taller de Papel Artesanal is tucked into the Calle Mercaderes in Old Havana, housed in a space that turns discarded paper from local historical archives into new, textured sheets. The workshop functions through manual, thousand-year-old techniques, where artisans produce every individual piece by hand rather than relying on industrial machinery. By collecting scraps cast off by the Office of the Historian, the studio repurposes materials to create paper that serves as a canvas for artists and as a finished product itself.
