Humboldt Forum

The Humboldt Forum is recognizable by the striking contrast between its three reconstructed Baroque façades—which gleam in a pale quince-yellow hue—and its smooth, uncompromisingly modern eastern side that faces the Spree river. Designed by the Italian architect Franco Stella, this massive complex occupies the historic site of the Berlin City Palace. The building functions as a cultural hub, housing the Ethnological Museum, the Museum of Asian Art, and spaces for science and city history.
