The Calcutta School of Music is identifiable by its location at six B, Sunny Park, in the Ballygunge neighborhood. Established in nineteen fifteen, the institution functions as a center for the instruction of Western classical music, dance, speech, and drama. Its founding is attributed to Doctor Philippe Sandré, a musician and acquaintance of the composer Camille Saint-Saëns.
