Pura Penataran Sasih

Pura Penataran Sasih is defined by the large, high-latticed shrine in its central courtyard that houses the Moon of Pejeng. This colossal bronze kettle drum, standing over one hundred and eighty-six centimeters tall, is the largest of its kind ever cast as a single piece. Founded in twelve sixty-six, the temple complex served as the state sanctuary for the Pejeng Kingdom between twelve ninety-three and thirteen forty-three.
