Piazza Trilussa

historic

Piazza Trilussa is defined by the monumental fountain of Acqua Paola, which anchors the square with its travertine arch, ionic columns, and the stone dragons of the Borghese family coat of arms. Built in sixteen thirteen for Pope Paul the Fifth, the fountain originally stood on the opposite side of the Tiber River before being moved to this site in eighteen ninety-eight.
