Takakamo Shrine stands at the eastern foothills of Mount Kongo, distinguished by a main hall rebuilt in fifteen forty-three that holds the status of a National Important Cultural Property. This site is widely recognized as the ancestral seat of the Kamo clan, a powerful ancient family of the Yamato region.
