Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave

landmark

Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave is marked by a modern, concrete entrance structure located directly across the road from the waterfall known as Devi’s Falls. Inside, a long spiral staircase descends into the earth, leading visitors away from the sunlight and into a damp, humid limestone cavern. The name translates to Hidden God, a reference to a sacred, naturally formed Shiva lingam that was discovered deep within the rock.
