New Zealand Maritime Museum

The New Zealand Maritime Museum, known as Hui Te Ananui a Tangaroa, sits on Hobson Wharf at the edge of the Viaduct Harbour. You can identify the entrance by the large yacht KZ One, which was used in the nineteen eighty-eight America’s Cup challenge. Opened in nineteen ninety-three, the museum occupies a space that incorporates the nineteen twenty Launchman’s Building, a structure once used by local boat companies.
