The Intercultural Museum is housed within a sturdy brick structure at Tøyenbekken five that once functioned as the Grønland police station. Built between nineteen hundred and nineteen hundred two by architect Balthazar Lange, the building now contains exhibition spaces where police holding cells have been repurposed into rooms for viewing art and historical artifacts.
