The Shaanxi History Museum is distinguished by its symmetrical, Tang Dynasty-style architecture, featuring a central hall surrounded by four corner buildings that rise in a solemn, grey-and-white arrangement. Opened on June twentieth, nineteen ninety-one, this sprawling complex was built following the instructions of Premier Zhou Enlai to create a national-level repository for the immense quantity of artifacts unearthed in the region. Xi’an served as the capital for thirteen dynasties, and this site was designed to house the tangible remains of those eras, spanning more than one million years of human activity.
