Jinli is a narrow, stone-paved pedestrian street known for its dense rows of grey-brick, wooden-facade buildings illuminated by traditional red lanterns. Located directly beside the Wuhou Shrine in the Wuhou District, this street is a reconstruction designed to evoke the atmosphere of an old town from the Qing Dynasty. Its layout and architecture are explicitly themed around the culture of the Three Kingdoms period and the history of the Shu Han state, which once made Chengdu a center for the production of rich, ornate Shu brocade.
