Dayunhe Gongchen Bridge

The Gongchen Bridge spans the Grand Canal as the highest and longest stone arch bridge in Hangzhou. Stretching ninety-two meters in length and reaching sixteen meters in height, the structure is built of stone and features a high, central arch that allows canal traffic to pass beneath it. Four stone statues, known as baxia, guard the main arch, originally placed there to protect the bridge from ship collisions.
