Maria Reiche Park

park garden

Maria Reiche Park is identified by the large floral replicas of the Nazca Lines geoglyphs laid out across its lawns, including figures like the spider, the hummingbird, and the monkey. Opened in nineteen ninety-eight along the Malecon de la Marina, the park honors the German researcher Maria Reiche, who spent over fifty years studying and protecting the ancient lines in the southern Peruvian desert.
