The Puente Eduardo Villena Rey is a concrete arch bridge that stretches across the Bajada Balta, connecting two sections of the Malecón de Miraflores. Inaugurated in nineteen sixty-eight by President Fernando Belaúnde Terry, it was named to honor Eduardo Villena Rey, who served as the mayor of Miraflores during the nineteen thirties. At night, the bridge is illuminated in red and white light, echoing the colors of the Peruvian flag.
