Caru' cu bere features a tall, narrow facade defined by its elaborate Neo-Gothic architecture and intricate stained glass. Located at number five Stavropoleos Street, the building stands out for its ornate woodwork and vaulted interiors that reflect the style of German Romanticism. Originally opened in eighteen ninety-nine, the restaurant was designed by the Austrian architect Siegfried Kofczinski to house a brewery for the Mircea brothers, who came to Bucharest from Transylvania.
