Khuzam Palace is a two-story limestone structure enclosed by a three-meter-high perimeter wall. Its name comes from the lavender plants that once grew abundantly in this part of Jeddah. Commissioned by King Abdulaziz in nineteen twenty-eight, the palace took five years to complete and became one of the first buildings in the city constructed with reinforced cement and iron.
