The Ancien Palais de Justice sits at Cap Manuel, recognizable by its distinct, modernist concrete architecture. French architects Daniel Babani and Pierre Roux-Dorlut designed this structure, which officially opened on December twenty-sixth, nineteen fifty-eight. Built just before Senegal gained independence, it served as the colonial courthouse for decades, functioning as a center of legal authority until nineteen ninety-two.
