The Kong Chow Wui Koon at three hundred twenty-one New Bridge Road is identifiable by its plain plaster facade, which is heavily decorated with an eclectic mix of ornaments and a distinct roof-level entablature. Established in eighteen forty by immigrants from the Xinhui district of Guangdong, it remains one of the oldest Chinese clan associations in Singapore. The association moved to this building in nineteen twenty-four, a structure designed by the firm Westerhout and Oman.
