The Convento Santa Marta is defined by a short wall that encloses a series of interconnected courtyards, separating the quiet life of its cloistered nuns from the streets of Córdoba. Founded in fourteen sixty-four, the convent began as a group of women living in a residence known as the Corral de los Cárdenas, which was donated by Catalina López de Morales.
