Taipei Cinema Park is defined by the remnants of the Taiwan Gas Company, specifically the old processing plant, brick chimneys, and coke furnaces that rise above the modern landscape. Established in nineteen thirty-four during the Japanese colonial period, this site sat abandoned for thirty-four years before its conversion into a public space in two thousand one.
