You will know you have reached the right place by the long, persistent queue gathered on the sidewalk of Yaowarat Road. This is the original site of the famous toasted buns, a street food stall that operates in front of the Government Savings Bank. At night, when the surrounding Chinatown district is at its most active, the shop draws crowds who come for bread grilled over charcoal until the exterior is crisp and golden while the inside remains soft and warm.
