Al Ain Oasis is defined by a vast, shaded canopy of approximately one hundred and forty-seven thousand date palms. Spanning twelve hundred hectares in the center of the city, this site has supported human settlement for more than four thousand years. It is recognized as the first UNESCO World Heritage site in the United Arab Emirates.
