The Ivy

The Ivy is defined by its white picket-fenced patio, which is perpetually crowded with tables, umbrellas, and pots of overflowing flowers. Located on North Robertson Boulevard, this restaurant began its life in the early nineteen eighties as a catering business called L.A. Desserts, founded by chef Richard Irving and interior designer Lynn von Kersting. They eventually transformed the space into a restaurant that resembles a rustic cottage, filling the interior with antique furnishings, folk art, and mismatched china.
