Urth Caffe Melrose

Urth Caffé on Melrose Avenue is marked by its ivy-framed facade and an open patio that often fills with patrons. Opened in November nineteen ninety-four, this site stands as the oldest location in the company’s chain. The property occupies a building that was originally a pre-fabricated home moved to West Hollywood in nineteen forty. For three decades, the structure housed a school for singing and voice owned by Al Berkman, the grandfather of Urth Caffé founders Shallom and Jilla Berkman.
