Criminal Records is defined by its long-standing presence on Euclid Avenue in the bohemian Little Five Points district, recognizable as a destination that houses an eclectic mix of vinyl, compact discs, and comic books. Founded in nineteen ninety-one by Eric Levin, the store began as a tiny four-hundred-square-foot space next to the Variety Playhouse. Levin actually lived inside that original shop for three years with his landlord's permission while building his inventory from his own collection.
